As the current owners of White Pine Country Store, Café & Lodge we provide our visitors and guests with a warm inviting opportunity to step back in time to the beginnings of Germania and Galeton. The building was erected in 1875 by George Rexford and has served as a Country Store since then. We strive to carry a wide variety of essentials to meet the needs of our seasonal and vacationing clients as well as a stock of everyday products to meet the emergent needs of our permanent residents.

In addition, the store has a large selection of Germania “specialty products” including but not limited to wheel cheese, pickle products by Jake & Amos, Pennsylvania Maple syrup and products, Hershey’s ice cream and mead wine. In addition, we have a selection of ammunitions to meet the needs of our hunting enthusiasts.

Visitors and locals alike rave about the wide variety of sandwiches, salads and wraps expertly prepared with care featuring quality meats and cheeses from JF Martin. Our sandwiches will fill you up and keep you going through a full day exploring the area.

White Pine Café serves a great range of sandwiches along with excellent coffee and specialty coffee. In addition, for those wanting a heartier start to the day we have a breakfast buffet with offerings that change daily.

The café also has a lunch buffet complimenting the sandwiches and salads offered in the store. The selections in the buffet change daily and include a daily soup as well. Menus for breakfast and lunch buffets are posted on our website.

Our Lodge, purposely rustic, provides our guests with a glimpse of Germania of long ago. With creaking floors and period furniture we hope that you will sense the charm of olden times. There is something special about sleeping in God’s country with windows open, hearing the crickets and rustlings of nature. Imagine awakening to the sounds of native birds and seeing deer grazing in the yard. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the porch taking in all that nature has to offer.
